This open source thing has been my interest since many years back, and only this year I can actually experience the actual open source OS. I have tried Ubuntu, Kubuntu and Mandriva before, but since we dont have any assistance, we just ignore it and remigrate to our so called beloved Microsoft..

But now, everything is going to change.Last few days, I attended a small talk about open source “Small” as in the size of audience and “small” in terms of the content of the talk. It was conducted fully by some expert Linux users among the student in UTP. Well, when dealing with open source in UTP, the name that came to this mind is Kageshensi, a senior of mine here in uTP. Well, its not really his name la. Thats his nickname in mIRC . He is the owner of Togakure irc server, handling irc server in my hostel block, Village 1. He is also one of the winner of Hacking Comp between universities..bla bla.
.
So, the talk was held in the morning. Obviously, nobody would sacrifice their damn good sleep on weekend just to attend this talk..but its ok with me..cause I am looking forward to join everything about open source. Overall, i can say that there were only like 20 people there with 3 demonstrators.

Basically, the talk covered basic stuff about open source..the rules..the history..the founder.. the people involved..what can we do..and so on.. But the best part of all is the demonstration of several abilities that these Linux OS can do..and of course they didnt show everything ( ..as if hacking the ITSM server..).. the eye-candy of the different environment in open source OS.. KDE, Gnome and such. Those people in front are like using Fedora Core and Suse in their laptop and pc.

the master, Kageshensi after the talk, giving personal assistant. ehe.
at the end of the talk, we were given 3 CDs. a CD contains open source softwares for Windows users, and another two CDs are the installation CD for Linux Ubuntu and Linux Kubuntu.

and oh, did I mentioned that I am no longer a Windows user? haha I am now using Linux Mandriva on my oldschool laptop. this laptop is a test machine for several OS in the last few months. I have formatted it like 7-8 times during the period. Test drive for any OS. Currently, I am running Mandriva only, no secondary OS. yah, I am updating my blog in this Linux Environment after a few major configuration and setup to get used to it.
.
I’ll show off my new dekstop with 3D desktop switching environment soon. Going open source anyone?

I likes bapes it is a really dope brand to buy but I cant afford no authentic bape cuz right now Im on the welfare, so I just usually look up bape on google and buy a replica one usually the quality is pretty good. I think Bape needs some new styles though.
