UTP Open Source Society was officially launched maybe few months ago. I am proud to be one of the member although I dont have any expertise in this stuff. Interest.yes.

The founder open up the oppurtunity for the member to create the logo for the club few weeks ago. Since I cant really contribute in any huge discussion about OSS problems or such, I took the chance to give something I can really do. I submit some of my logo design to the UTP-OSS Google Groups.

After a little voting and stuff, the chosen logo is the second one. The one like leave or something. I donnoe neither. All those logo were designed based on nothing. I had no idea what those means. But during the process, I gained extra knowledge and skill. I learned about Inkscape ( an open source designing software especially for vector) and CorelDraw. There also this image format called Scalable Vector Graphic (SVG), a great format for vector images in website.. i think. Fireworks doesnt have SVG format. Yesterday, I met Togakure ( not the real name..ehe ), the founder, to finalize the design. So here is the final product.

Btw, since my timetable for this semester is kinda relaxing, I decided to create few wordpress themes for public release. I am in the middle of finishing my first ever Wordpress theme called Fake. Yes. The name is Fake.

Still,lot of work to be done to ensure the coding for the CSS and XHTML is valid due to W3C requirement.
