When Steve Jobs announces (and shows) that one of 300 new features on Leopard is the new desktop, with a ‘grass’ wallpaper, I thought he was just kidding ( the wallpaper part). In fact, I heard some of the audiences laughed as well. I was like, ” ha ha, he is making fun of Microsoft again”. Well, he always did that; I mean, making fun of Microsoft. But hell no. This time, he’s not kidding.
Remember this wallpaper from Microsoft Vista?
I like this wallpaper (download), I must say. I used it before. But we all know, Vista have a lot of official wallpapers as well as those that didn’t make it into the installation disk.
Now, look at the latest Mac OS X Leopard desktop with its, also ‘grass’, wallpaper.
Okay, the color is very different. But, come on. Apple should’ve come out with other type of wallpaper. Don’t get me wrong. This wallpaper is pretty,but.. I dont know.
Whatever it is, Apple fan boy is forever an Apple fan boy. Am I right, Kevin Rose?
Btw, I dont know if this is legal or not. But you can download this latest Leopard desktop wallpaper and put it on your dekstop; here. Get it fast before its gone. 
what is with grass wallpapers? is this supposed to be some kind of cool trend? for some reason, shades of grass don’t go well with the rest of my colour scheme. Does it go well with any colour scheme? Wet horizontal grass blades? cmon apple… you can’t be serious. and why is the focus so much on Apple now? Is nothing else going on in the (tech) world? leopard’s not out for a while anyway. but you’ve got to give it to jobs for glamorizing WWDC and apple keynotes. the buzz spreads all the way to here. it spreads all the way to me too which i find annoying.
oh and i love you apple. this really is a love-hate relationship

But i do like apples’ new feature - quicklook. Very intuitive i say.
Haa, another thing that really shock me is the new Space feature.. very, very similar to mainstream Linux distros.. I wouldnt be surprised if someday they (apple) introduce Cube-like interface to further enhance Space.

with quicklook, we’re not going to need any video player to play video, literally. heh
yah space. well its a useful feature. theres already similar applications for windows. microsoft will definitely put that in their next os as well.

15 Jun 07 | 9:52 pmperhaps its just their way to give a friendly poke at Windows. Anyway, its just a wallpaper. Wish i can afford a mac but there are ways to emulate most of leopard’s features in Windows for PC users (like myself).

as far as i can see, its both a photograph of grass. that’s photograph for crying out loud !
obviously ‘grass’ wallpaper is quite a beauty for a desktop, that’s why i think those 2 uses the same kind of wallpaper..
for example if i snapped a photo of a baby crying and posted it on my blog, would u say other can’t post the same kind of photo ?

sorry, but i think its because you always don’t finish the sentence to that..
i think the poeple behind apple who chose this wallpaper are qualified and know these stuff better than you and me.. i don’t see there’s any point saying they shouldn’t do this, they should come out with better than this or that..
i hope by saying ‘you don’t get it’ you can provide explanation and proove (without just saying that)..

Wikipedia should change the definition of opinion to “you must be qualified before shoot out what’s in your mind on certain issue”
