Apple released new line up for their awesome iPod product during the special “The Beat Goes On” event last week. They chose the right time since the holiday season is coming in and by introducing new iPod line up, they can expect a boost in sale. Thats the tradition.
So whats hot?
iPod shuffle
No physical upgrade for this tiny gadget except new color variation. With built-in clip, people who fancy tiny mp3 player (definitely not me) will love this one.

iPod nano
Steve Job said that iPod nano is the the most famous mp3 player. Many people like it. And many people demand for video playback in nano. So here it is. New iPod nano with video capabilities, bigger 2.0 inch screen and enhanced new interface.
Although some people just dont like the fattish look of this nano, personally I think its a good one. I never liked the nano before, but this one is better. Video quality? No pixel lost. What you see on iPod video is exactly what you are going to see on nano. Very high ppi on its screen. Watch the ad

iPod classic
The new upgrade for iPod video. Same with nano, this classic also comes with the new enhanced interface. This one have bigger space than its predecessor, 80GB and 160GB. WOW! 160GB wtf. read more about it.

iPod touch. FTW!
This one is awesome!! This iPod touch is the iPhone minus phone, camera and other phone services. awesome! Multitouch 3.5 inch color display. Not just that, it has built in wi-fi capabilities so you can browse the internet on Safari browser, full scale, just like in the iPhone! Amazing feature. seriously. Also, it has the YouTube application to let you stream YouTube video into the touch. New thing is the iTunes Wi-fi music store, will let you directly purchased songs/videos from iTunes Music Store directly from you iPod touch. Wow. and this will be included into the iPhone too.
But the thing is, it only comes with 8GB and 16GB storage. In addition to that, it is flash memory. Not hard disk. Thats the major complaint from the people. They also say Apple sacrifice storage for the sake of 8mm. Yes, iPod touch is 8mm thin! Watch the ad

Overall, no more white iPods available. Its great Apple put effort to come with new enhanced interface because the old one is just too plain and not very friendly. Plus, no more stupid dancers in the ads. 
Now, everything is just gorgeous.
I am an Apple fan boy.
I am so going to get the touch. But the price for Malaysia market hasn’t been announced yet because this touch will be shipped at the end of September. Hope it will be available in Malaysia, also the end of September. Seriously I will get one. Looking at the price differences of iPod classic between actual USD price and local Malaysian price, I think the price is going to be very high. Urgh I want the 16GB model.

so you want to choose between nano 8gb and ipod video 30gb.
you are talking about the old iPod VIDEO, not iPod classic, right?well if you have extra money of rm400, its better to grab the 80gb iPod classic since the price gap is also around rm400.
if you still want the old ipod video, i believe you can get it with a cheaper price somewhere; they want to finish up the stock. while stock last, of course.
extra 10 times of storage and bigger screen for rm400; i think its worth to grab the classic rather than nano.
so whats your decision?

If you dont really need an iPod with huge storage, then you might want to get the Touch.
yes the wifi is a very cool feature and the ability to jailbreak it is also a plus.
To be honest here, I got myself the 16gb ipod touch as well. but Im having some trouble with the battery and wifi. thats the common prob of itouch if you go through any related forums.
well maybe it is some isolated problems so you dont hv to worry.
and yes you can use classic as an external hd.
but not ipod touch.
