I am now a proud owner of the amazing 16GB iPod touch. I am updating this via my iPod touch.
Ok Just kidding. Its gonna be tedious to write long article in that small screen and keyboard. =D
After two days playing around with the touch, I can say it is amazing as it sounds. Although I have few problems when trying to connect it to my computer ( my fault actually because I remove iPod service from start up service), everything seems fine now.
The faulty screen of certain iPod touch which are widely reported for the last few weeks does not happen to me. I make sure I got the ‘38th week’ production iPod because as many people concluded, iPod from 38th week of production does not suffer from negative faulty screen [read : MacRumors Forum]. Check the serial number - make sure that the forth and fifth digit are 3 and 8 respectively.
The screen is great, the ‘touch’ is awesome, the size is unbelievably small- very thin; and the interface is gorgeous.
But there are few things I don’t really like. First of all, the earphone. I hate the fact that they are still using the white colored earphone although the body of the Touch is all black. My last white earphone turned yellowish and greyish easily. Well, the quality of the audio is also disappointing. So I am currently using my old black Philips earphone with better audio quality.
Browsing the web with Safari is very convenient and fast, although wi-fi in my college is not as excellent as outside. But yeah, it loads very fast. But one major weakness - no password manager to store your login data. Need to type in everytime =\.
YouTube is also fine, but does not load as fast as Safari. iTunes Wi-fi Music store is acessible but you cannot purchase songs from Malaysia, yet. But it is quite cool because you can listen to the preview of the song before illegally download it from the internet buy the record from your local music store.
Calendar, Contacts, Calculator and Clock are not very useful for me, though (wow! 4 useless Cs!) Cannot add event in Calendar, cannot call people from Contacts ( its not an iPhone..duh!), only basic function of calculator etc etc.
Battery - well, so far, the battery serve me well with a lot of touches and scrolls here and there. But make sure your first charge is long enough, because I forgot to do so :(. Consequence = My iPod died and does not charging although I connect it to my laptop for almost 6 hours! Luckily I have my old iPod mini socket charger, then it came back to live.

05 Oct 07 | 2:16 amok. semua review iPod bru yg aku jumpe still don’t sound too convincing enough for me! mcm Touch ni the price (in Malaysia) is not at par with its functionalities yg bole kte pakai kt sini.. especially when u’re most of the time in a campus yg takde decent wi-fi. :\
tp if nnt da bole dload from the iTunes, agk nye ko lah org Kelantan pertama (residing in Malaysia) yg beli music kt iTunes.

iPhone?..ntah la.aku x nmpk lg it’s worth or not kalo kat msia..
sb most of the feature integrated ngan service provider.. especially Google Maps yg sgt famous kat sini (call on spot nk reserve table for dinner ke..check weather, book tiket wayang or adventure stuffs)..
so service kasi up + kaw2 dulu la baru bole beli kot iPhone tu..
