UPDATE 8/6/2008 : how to fix the problem in IE7. Read below

My holiday just started, and I am working on a new public release theme. Its 90% finish by the way. But before I release that brand new theme, let me come out with the second version of FTW theme.
Basically there is no huge visual changes compared to the first version. But the main thing is, FTW 2.o is fully compatible with wordpress 2.3 and above; especially the tag feature. The previous FTW theme is already compatible with 2.3, but this one is modified in the 2.3 environment so its a lot better.
Whats new in FTW 2.0
Let me just list down the changes done in this second version
- compatible with Wordpress 2.3 especially tagging feature.
- better heading already styled
- lighter font for blog title
- new feed icon at the very end of navigation menu
- wide 380px area above both sidebar. This area is also widgetized so you can add the content directly through the widget tab by editing sidebar 3. This section will appear in all pages.
- new placement for search form.
- addition to post info in single.php : Author and tags.
- …and few other code fixs in the CSS and xhtml codes.
As usual, the layout is tested in Firefox, Opera 9.2, IE 6 and Safari 3 (Windows) and it works great in all those browsers.
There’s already a search form installed in the sidebar. You do not have to put another search widget into your sidebar. Unless you really want to have two search forms int the same page..?
Reminder for older version of Wordpress!
If you are using other older version of Wordpress other than 2.3 and above, you will get an error message in the single post view. Fix that by editing the single.php file by removing the following code:
<span class="tag"><?php the_tags(' ',', '); ?></span><br />
..and I dont know if this is necessary, but if theres error in archives view, remove the following code from archives.php as well :
<?php /* If this is a tag archive */ } elseif (is_tag()) { ?>
<h2 class="pagetitle">Archive for the '<?php single_tag_title(); ?>' tag</h2>
..or maybe you want to consider updating your wordpress version 
I already fix this by adding the function_exist tag so you dont have to worry about this one. Please re-download the theme if you happen to download it earlier before this update.

Update : Fix the IE7 bug
Open your style.css, look for #header-c. Add width:100% to the properties. It should be like this:
#header-c{ float:left; width:100%;}

Hi, nice themes. I think about localizing this one to hebrew and using it in my wordpress mu site, but it is not clear under what license they are released. legally without a license like GPL or CC I am not allowed to modify the code.

@dshooter: In your wordpress dashboard, go theme>widget. use the ‘Text widget’ and drag it to Sidebar 3. Then write your intro in that text widget

How can I change the navigation alignment? I would like to put it on my left side instead of right.
When I create a new page, it will have new navigation bar right? How to create sub page under the new page since I can’t put the sub page under parents.

Thanks for the great theme flisterz. I had already used the Freicurve theme on my site and it had great style, but this one is even better. It’s simple and elegant and I really like the menu style.
There’s a white box on the upper right when you open a site using it using a IE7 browser… please fix it.
yup just I check those in Safari @ comp. lab did the same thing. White box.

Hey flisterz… awesome theme. I have implemented it on my blog but i am getting a weird thing happening in IE7. Jump to my site at http://www.flipwebdesign.com.au and take a look. Any idea why this is happening. There is a white strip next to the header.
@Paul: i’ve check in IE6 only, nothing is wrong there. and I still cannot access you site to see what is wrong.
Hey Flisterz, i switched to you Friecurv theme instead. The issue i was having only appeared in IE7 and not IE6. My host was down but now its back again. Cheers for some awesome themes!

Please don’t use the rar compresion format because it’s a proprietary format.
Use zip instead.
