Comparison chart is updated. Thanks to Jim for the info

There are many search engines that are built specifically for mp3s, audios or any other media files. The numbers has been increasing for the past few months. Here are 5 clean and simple mp3 search engines, that not just allow searching capabilities, but to allow the users to directly download the audio files as well.
Read more for a comparison table at the end of the article

SkreemR is among the first mp3 search engine that I stumbled into last year. With it simple Google-style interface, it is much easier to use and the result is quite reliable too. Theres also a link to top searches.

There you can see the complete detail about the songs, the album and directly stream the song with its simple mp3 player or just download it to you computer from the file link. The AudioRank,a new feature by SkreemR, is an overall rating for quality and reliability of the file. The higher the better. Just like Google PageRank huh?
Update: SkreemR actually provides embed code as well as the ability to post it to Facebook.

Unlike SkreemR, BeeMP3 has a much colorful interface which also include few lists of top 10 downloads plus the last 200 searches.

However the result page is not as pretty and does not have any embed player for you to directly stream the song. You need to download it first by clicking the file name where you will be brought to another page for some terms and conditions.

Karabit is the latest mp3 search engine I found. It also has a much simpler Google-like interface for a less annoying browsing experience.

It has the most simplest search result page with only the file name, Play and Download button and the permalink. Hit the Play button, a small and cool player will appear for you to stream the file.

The most obvious name, I must say. FindMP3s has a cool 2.0 interface with a huge search form. It has the ability to allow us to browse the results by artists and the list of Top 25 hits.

The search result page is still pretty yet simple; with only the file name and button.

Then you will have this flash mp3 player where you can stream the file, download, post it to supported social sites and get the embed code to put this player into you site. The most features among others right?
Update: I tested the embed code, and as Jim said in his comment, it can’t even play the song. So does the Facebook feature.

Downloading-music is not much of a simple interface but it is still clean. The main page has the latest searches queries which allow you to directly download the file.

The result page is rather simple, with no ability to stream the file. However compared to others, it shows a little icon on the left for the audio format of the file. To download, just click the file name.
So here is a comparison table to summarize all 5 search engines discussed above.

Which one are you using?
PreviousHoliday is almost over
kalau tengok ikut comparison table tu macam find mp3s tu yang bagus.. nanti nak try gune dulu
Actually, your chart is wrong…SkreemR does indeed have embed code so you can add your song to blogs etc. Not only that, but if you add a song to Facebook using FindMP3 you cant even play the song – it’s just an ad!! If you add songs to Facebook with Skreemr, you actually can play the mp3 and the album art is included.
So, SkreemR wins – hands down!!
