The world’s thinnest notebook, ever.

Macbook Air

Apple had just introduced its new member into the Macbook family called the Macbook Air, a few hours ago during Macworld 2008. This has been a rumor for the last few days, and ’surprisingly’ the rumor is true. With less than an inch thickness and weight of 3 pounds, this is super-ultra portable. It comes with a glossy 13.3-inch, widescreen LED backlit; 1280×800 resolution. And its full size keyboard are equipped with backlit key illumination, so it is much easier to work in the low-light environment.

Macbook Air

Although I am a bit skeptical about the comfort of typing on that very thin surface, it does look awesome, seriously.

Another feature is the oversize multi-touch trackpad that now has the same technology which was builtin iPhone and iPod touch; gesture-based input for rotating, zooming, pinching and so on. Apple provide some demos to help users with this new features.

Check the full specs here and view more pictures here.

This is still new, however. Like any other Apple products, people are really excited at first but then some downsides/weaknesses will be revealed, one by one, maybe like the non-replaceable battery .

On the other hand, a new iPhone firmware 1.1.3 update is already out, that is basically the same with the leak that we saw on the internet in a while ago. So here we go again with the jailbreaking and unlocking dilemma in the iPhone hacking community. Good luck!
