Freicurv theme has been downloaded more than 2000+ times when I first released it exactly 2 months ago. A lot of question is asked and few requests has been made by some users over certain features. Normally I will assist them personally or via the comment section of the theme entry. I also released a 1.5 version of this theme in the original blog post few weeks ago. But today I would like to release the 2nd version of Freicurv theme,basically with all those requests and some fixes.
I also did some physical makeover towards the design along with some code enhancement and few features addition. All features available in the first version are still in this second version. So, for new users, you might want to read the post first, since the complete documentation is written there too.
This version comes with these:
Automatic filling up the comment form when admin logged in
Edit blog posts and comments link when admin logged in
New header and navigation menu. And no more weird blue box in the intro section
And few other minor changes.
View the new complete structure of this Freicurv2.0 theme. And also, remember to read the readme.txt file included in the package.
The previous version has been translated into many languages, and I am happy with that. This time, if you are willing to translate this version 2.0 into any other languages as well, I am very happy to put the link to your work here. Send me and email or comment down there to let me know. Same goes with those who want to convert this into a Blogger template.

The thing is, what IF I want to use the ‘floating left’ thing but even if the post finishes before the image (my english kinds sucks and it’s a little hard for my to say what I want, I hope you get the idea) all the post metadata and the nex post will be on the bottom of the image insted of next to it.

By the way: another bug ^^. When there is more than one line in the dat/author/cats/comments div right below the title, the text overflows insted of resizing the div.

14 Feb 08 / #I also have a small issue with the CSS used. In topics where I use the nextgen gallery singlepic display, the image will overlap the “tag” info bar. In addition, the links to the next and previous topics are displayed besides the image instead of below. (example: http://hot.symbiosys.be/2008/02/14/chicas/)
I’ve been trying to solve this in the CSS but no luck and I’m out of options.
Is there somebody else who can search for a possible solution?

on the comments input on the demo and like on your site, the the input fields are next to the text input box nice and neat, but on my installl of this theme, the input fields are sitting on top of the text input box, and I just cant seem to get them to align horizontally?

I’m another user of this theme who’s been happily using it for about 6 months now. One thing that I’m running into is that on post pages, trying to use new comment systems like Disqus or Intense Debate is breaking the page. The sidebars are being pushed down to the bottom of the page after the post content.

Would be willing to translate it to German. Is there a official CVS or so? Wouldn’t want to translate the whole unchanged stuff again if theres V2.1 or 3 coming..

I want to use ASIDES CATEGORY.
in index.php, I find the word which you said in readme.txt.and change 111 to 115388(the category ID of the new category),but there may be something wrong.
On the homepage,it says:
“Not Found
Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn’t here.
”
