After a few Release Candidates recently, WordPress finally releasing the official version of 2.5 today. As all WordPress enthusiastics know, this version has a very huge differences compared to previous versions. Welcome to my weekly update! Yeah. It seems that way, now. Weekly update huh. I guess I can’t keep up with much blogging anymore. I have been missing a lot of things from my favorite websites nowadays. Those tech blogs especially. Ugh.

Last few days, Smashing Magazine compiled few tutorials and download focusing on Adobe Fireworks and it is cool that one of my Fireworks tutorial is featured there as well. That article is a great source for Fireworks user and also a great eye-opener for those who haven’t heard any single thing about this piece of great software.

I was supposed to write one special post 3 days ago, on 12th March. You know why? Because on that particular date, the domain www.flisterz.com is finally one year old. horray to me! One year old huh. not bad.

Searching in Wordpress is not really that efficient since lots of theme author like to use the_excerpt rather than the_content, and visitors can’t really find what they are searching for. Search Unleashed is a great plugin that can solve that problem with keywords highlighting and many other features.

There are some times where you couldn’t find the best font/typeface to complement your work. Or maybe you don’t really like one or two of the letters from the whole set. Then, why don’t you modify them to suit your liking? Here is a simple method to do that in Adobe Fireworks.
