Apple is making a chaos again - by announcing the new version of iPhone, the iPhone 3G. Apple fans has been waiting for this news after a lot of rumors keep cluttering the internet for the last few months.

“The first phone to beat the iPhone”
New iPhone - a bit thinner, 3G connectivity for faster internet connectivity but no front camera for video call, no more aluminium back, comes with black and white, 8GB and 16GB model. And the best thing of all, the price starts at USD199 ! Dammit thats way cheaper that the iPod Touch.
It will start shipping to 22 countries on 11 of July and to another 48 countries later on. To all Malaysians, don’t be too happy - Malaysia is not included in any of those countries. Urgh. The nearest are Singapore and Philipines. Even China didn’t make it into the list. Check out the list here.
What? You want to buy it outside and bring it here? Hmm I dont know about that, because I think you need to activate the iPhone in the Apple store itself - no more at-home activation - means no more Unlocking the iPhone. Well, maybe some people can think of few solutions after this. After all, there are still improvements needed - the camera is still 2MP, no video recording (unless you jailbreak it) , no freaking MMS and few more.
Version 2.0 of firmware will also be released in July - that includes AppStore, where users can download/buy and install extra application on their iPhone. But, again, iPod Touch users need to pay another USD9.95 to get that damn firmware update. Dammit Apple, this is unfair.

Say I am listening to my iphone (ipod) then someone is calling, with a click of button on the earphone I can already answer my phone without hassle. Seriously, it’s way convenient that way. To pull out earphone blah blah blah, so for ipod user, iphone is definitely a must-have.
I guess there are reasons they are not offering it in Malaysia, and for stuffs like GPS I believed it is not needed here in My only. Honestly, now with 3g (EDGE for the current phone) having iphone is very different than what some of us might think. I can stay online literally anywhere; meaning I could livescore.com anywhere, Google it! n stuff like that without problem. Wifi is definitely a plus when in a hot-spot. About GPS thing, I bet here in Malaysia it would be redundant but definitely not in d US.
