Adobe AIR is getting popular, and more apps are being built for AIR. The fact that AIR is cross-platform makes it more favorable than other freeware apps. And most of the apps have cool and beautiful interface too 
Here are some AIR apps that can be useful for web designers or anyone. Make sure you have AIR before you can install these apps.
COLOURlovers
You always go to COLORlovers.com to look fo colors, patterns and palettes? Now you do it directly from your desktop with this cool AIR apps. It will let you search the database. However if you want to download a pattern, for example, you’ll still need to use a browser though.

WebKut is a popular screen capture apps. With a simple and easy-to-use interface, you can have a screenshot of a website in just few steps. Option includes: Output file type, full page screenshot, partial page screenshot, selected area screenshot and more.

Shrink-O-Matic
This cool app let you resize an image in seconds! Set the size, the output name and format, then drag your photo/image onto the yellow area, and you’re done. Simple and fast. This can also be useful for photoblogger who always need to resize their huge photo.

Snippely
This is a very handy app for those who always need to store a short code and note while working or surfing the internet. You can create a group, and add snippets to the group. Then, add some codes with higlighting or notes to that snippet. If you always use cheat sheet, why not transfer them all to this little app.
