I’m releasing a new WordPress theme, but this time it is different from the other themes I’ve produced. It’s a theme specifically built for photoblogging.
I always wanted to create this one, so here it is. This theme is suitable for those who have huge interest in photography but have no specific template to showcase their high quality photos with wide dimension. These are what fotolog theme has to offer:
- Built for WP 2.3+ onwards. WP 2.5+ compatible
- Built in Gravatar support for comments
- 1 column, showing 1 photo for each page
- Maximum 800px width photo on main page (can be modified)
- Previous photo and next photo link; on top and bottom of each page - for better/faster navigation
- Custom Archive template, showing ALL photos (thumbnail) on one page
- Custom Archive template also can show thumbnails from specific categories and months and search result
- Easy to customize CSS, there are comments to help you out

This theme is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict + CSS2.1 and has been tested on IE6, Firefox 3, Opera 9.5 and Safari 3 for Windows.

Quick FAQ
I want to have wider layout for my huge photos
Open style.css, look for #wrap, increase or reduce the width there.
Sometimes, I have a smaller photo. I want it to appear at the center.
Open style.css, look for .photo. Add this to it properties: text-align:center;. All your text down the photo will also be aligned to center.
I want to change the dimension of the thumbnail in the archive page
Open style.css, look for img.thumbarch, change the height. Don’t set a width there so you can maintain its aspect ratio, and so the layout didn’t messed up.
License and Donation
You can do whatever you want with the theme as long as the credit is left intact in the footer. If you like my work and would like to consider some donation, you can do so.

The problem is due to your permalink setting. Apparently this theme doesn’t support pretty permalink setting, only the ugly default permalink. I forgot to test it with pretty permalink.
You can change it, go to setting> permalinks. use the default one. You might need to edit your .htaccess file.
This is my fault. I’ll fix it maybe in the next version. thanks for the report

This is an awesome theme and I liked it very much… I’m having a problem, though. My archive pages show only one image at a time for any category or month (although there is the previous page and next page links). Somebody please help me figure out what is the problem.
Any help much appreciated…

I figured it out after a few minutes of tinkering with the settings…
Anyone having the above problem… Go to the Settings >> Reading >> Change the blog posts to show at a time to a value higher than 1… (the value decides the number of thumbnails u see per page of archive categories or months)

Thanks! Yes, it is possible. Just use any title when creating a page for the archive. Then follow the instructions given.

I have a couple of questions, one is after how many thumbnails does the archive page go onto ‘page 2′ or is the theme programmed so the thumbnails will go on the same page regardless of how many posts?
secondly, when clicking on a category or a month it only displays one thumbnail at a time, is there a setting so they just show up all together like the archive page?
