I’ve decided to buy a Macbook since last month, during the study week - now it’s finally here. Nope, this is not my birthday present, I’m burning my money on this. but nevermind.

Luckily my friend, who is also a Macbook user told me that there is an Apple reseller in Kota Bharu, so I don’t have to go all the way to Kuala Lumpur just to get this gorgeous machine. I know, there was a promotion in Machines, but nevermind.

I ordered the Macbook last Saturday, and it arrived today’s afternoon. Went to pick it up later this evening. The guy from the shop installed XP for BootCamp and added extra RAM and etc etc.

I am very very excited. Dude, its my dream, for years.

I was browsing through the system, and its not that hard though. Just trying make myself familiar with the OS and the hardware. Need to learn few more stuff, install more apps and make sure that I can do all my webdesign stuff smoothly there. Haven’t installed local server yet.

How about the old laptop? Well, I’m gonna give it to my younger sister. She’s going to need it in her college.

I’m now a Mac user. haha. I still love Windows though. Need to use it sometimes.

   Damn man ;p i liked the last pic that you put (comparing your two laptops) macbook owns. I’m also gonna change to apple soon. But i prefer macbook pro and is not that difficult to learn, the hard part is finding the programs you had on windows for mac.

   Wow. Macbooks are pretty sweet. It looks beautiful. How are they? I don’t know any web/graphic designers with macbooks.
   I found your blog via Google, and it’s really amazing. It’s always nice to find a web&graphic designer.

    Congratulations on the new Macbook! You’ve finally become one of us. Yeah, there’re a few things to get use to such as CMD-A to select all, not CTRL-A; things like that. Btw, I completely DISAGREE with Marinos on his opinion that it’s hard to find windows equivalent programs you had on windows for the mac. To be honest, programs on the windows side are crap and they lack quality. There are however, hundreds if not thousands of HIGH-QUALITY apps on the mac-side. For a web designer like you I’m sure you’ll love some cool programs such as CSSEdit 2.6, Coda, Transmit, RapidWeaver, OmniGraffle, Pixelmator .etc. along with Apple’s own i-Apps. Again, congrats.

    Welcome to the club bro! . If you have demonoid acc , a lot of stuff you can download . =)

    First thing to download , Textmate . why? . Haha . try using the build in text editor in a few days , then change to textmate . you will notice it .(i think almost all web coders use this) .

    congrates! you are an apple user now! well, iim supposed to grab mine today (MBP), but, the stock got stuck at KASTAM. dammit. they called, and told me that maybe i’m able to pick it up this friday.

    BTW, welcome to our world. Good luck with anything you want to do. but, are you using windows just for gaming or more on debugging IE6 (sucks)?

    @asx, XP is needed sometimes, as most user still using it and gaming gonna need XP for this while.
