I hate to use “Digg for …”, but thats the easiest way to describe it. Of course there are a lot of Digg clones out there, but WpVote is not just another face.
With DesignFloat and DesignBump for designers, WpVote is a pretty clever step by Jean-Baptiste Jung from CatsWhoCode to introduce this kind of social news site, specially dedicated WordPress lovers. Oh I wish I’ve thought of this idea
Works like the others, WpVote allows users to submit their stories/articles (which, of course, related to WordPress) and the other users will have the chance vote any stories the like the most.. Great stories will be promoted to the front page so it will get more exposure. Front page = more hits for your site.
Like I said, this is a pretty clever step - because we all know WordPress has a lot of fans out there, and I believe WpVote will get a lot of support from all of those WordPress users. In addition to that, now we have another resources for great and reliable WordPress related articles.
What I don’t like about the site is - the fact that I have to go through the single view of the story before I can get to the real article. Hope they can remove that though.
Promote your WordPress themes, plugins, news, hacks or tutorials at WpVote now!
