Web3 TCG Cross The Ages is set to launch its Blast Closed Playtest Phase 1, beginning April 23 through May 7, 2025.
This playtest will provide eligible players with the opportunity to experience several significant changes to the gameplay such as health points, new card play mechanics, and special attacks.
The development team is seeking feedback to refine these features for future phases and a broader game release.

What’s new in Cross The Ages?
The Blast Closed Playtest introduces a number of gameplay changes aimed at improving strategic depth and offering players more control over their matches.
One notable update is the introduction of a health points (HP) system, where the objective is to reduce the opponent’s HP to zero to win, replacing the previous point-based system. The old Trinity mechanic, which had a fixed point system of 65, has also been replaced. Now, players will aim to deal damage by the end of each turn.
Additionally, the playtest will feature a new energy bar, allowing players to play multiple cards per turn depending on the amount of available energy. Special abilities are now replaced with Blasts, which are powerful attacks with three different levels based on cooldowns and energy costs.
Other gameplay adjustments include a simplification of the Heptagram, which now has only one advantage and one weakness per element. Extended captures and the unlimited hand system have also been removed. Players will now have a hand limit of six cards, with the seventh card being destroyed.
The core aim of this playtest is to focus on tactical PvP gameplay, with these changes forming the backbone of the test. Players can expect a lightweight version of the game, featuring only the essential mechanics to collect feedback from the community and refine the game’s experience.
