Gunzilla Games, developers of popular Web3 battle royale title Off The Grid, have secured an undisclosed investment from Coinbase Ventures.
This follows the studio’s most recent funding round, led by VanEck, which concluded last month, and demonstrates Off The Grid‘s continued appeal to institutional investors, as well as its appeal with mainstream gamers.
The Gunzilla team are continuing their aggressive push into the mainstream gaming audience, with major streamers trying out the title on launch day, and the recent Off The Grid All Stars tournament bringing together top talent from around the world to test their mettle in the title.

What impact could Coinbase Ventures have on Off The Grid?
The Gunzilla Games team have high hopes for their partnership with Coinbase Ventures.
In a statement, Gunzilla Games said that, “Gunzilla is thrilled to welcome Coinbase Ventures, as an investor and valued partner. We appreciate their long-term vision and leadership in web3, and we are excited for many years of collaboration with Off The Grid and GUNZ.”
Coinbase Ventures have a wide investment portfolio, including a selection of the most recognisable names in the blockchain ecosystem. This includes the likes of Animoca Brands, Yuga Labs, and Uniswap.

What’s next for Off The Grid?
After their successful All Stars tournament, Gunzilla Games are continuing to build the foundations to see Off The Grid‘s long-term success.
Next week, Off The Grid is expected to release on iOS, Android, MacOS and Smart TVs, thanks to a partnership with the NVIDIA GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform.
Off The Grid is available to download and play right now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
