Pudgy Penguins has released a new game, Pengu Clash, as part of its ongoing expansion into blockchain-based entertainment.
The game is accessible through Telegram as a mini-app and runs on The Open Network (TON), a blockchain integrated with the messaging platform. With over one million users already on the waitlist, the launch represents a significant push by the Pudgy Penguins team to reach broader audiences through more accessible platforms.
Early access is currently open to beta testers, who can refer others for added benefits, including rare cosmetic traits.

What is Pengu Clash?
Pengu Clash is a 1v1 multiplayer game where players compete in short-form mini-games, including darts, football, and other head-to-head challenges. The game is delivered through a Telegram mini-app and built using TON, a blockchain platform designed for integration with social messaging tools.
The game uses infrastructure provided by Elympics, which enables real-time, on-chain multiplayer gameplay. Elympics ensures that game logic and outcomes are verifiable on the blockchain, aiming to reduce manipulation and promote fairness in competitive play.
Pengu Clash rewards players based on skill and performance rather than token staking or speculative investments. Unlike many earlier blockchain games, it does not follow a “play-to-earn” model. Instead, its mechanics are geared towards rewarding in-game success, offering token-based prizes and unlockable cosmetic items tied to gameplay achievements.

What’s next for Pudgy Penguins?
The launch of Pengu Clash is part of a broader initiative by Pudgy Penguins to develop a full entertainment brand beyond its initial NFT offering. Originally released in 2021 as a collection of 8,888 Ethereum-based digital avatars, the project has since expanded into physical merchandise and interactive experiences.
Beyond Pengu Clash, the team is developing Pudgy World, a browser-based open world game built on zkSync Era, which allows players to customise avatars and interact with others using Ethereum-based assets. Players can unlock traits through QR codes included with physical Pudgy Penguins toys, though the game is accessible to non-NFT holders as well.
Another upcoming title is Pudgy Party, a mobile party game co-developed with Mythical Games and planned for release in 2025. Designed for cooperative and competitive play, it will run on the Mythos Chain, a blockchain optimised for gaming scalability.
Separately, Pudgy Penguins characters are featured in LOL Land, a dice-based board game produced by Yield Guild Games and launching on the Abstract Chain. The game includes token rewards, NFTs, and themed maps, including one called “Ice World Wonderland” based on the Pudgy brand.
