Popular metaverse platform The Sandbox has pushed Update 0.11 for both its Game Client and Game Maker services, introducing a wide array of new features and improvements.
Amongst the highlights of Update 0.11, players can now enjoy an updated camera, player animations and in-game movement tweaks. Graphical and quality-of-life improvements have also been added that serve to make The Sandbox more enjoyable than ever, with a better map carousel and improved anti-cheat services to boot.
This follows a stellar period for The Sandbox, with the game having a big presence at major industry event NFT Paris 2025, and renewed interest in their ecosystem token $SAND in recent months.

- Improved animations: avatar movement is now more fluid and responsive, making gameplay more fun
- Improved camera: the gameplay camera works much better in tight spots, with occlusion an added bonus
- Quality of Life boosts: the addition of drop shadows, ledge grabs and coyote time all serve to make general gameplay more responsive, whilst updates to the Map Carousel boost in-game discoverability
- Better anti-cheat: implementation has been expanded to in-game Quests, making bug abuse more difficult
Users of The Sandbox Game Maker will enjoy a similar list of updates and improvements:
- New multiplayer features: team vs. team game types and victory conditions are now supported
- NPC overhaul: characters now respond “intelligently”, with many new customisation options
- New asset kits: an expanded array of templates and assets make game creation easier than ever
