Gunzilla Games has released a significant update for Off the Grid, introducing new gameplay features, map expansions, and additional content.
The update includes the opening of Midtown Harbour—a previously inaccessible area—along with a new cybernetic weapon and fresh in-game missions.
This update marks one of the most substantial expansions since the game entered early access in October.

What are the changes coming to Off the Grid?
The update unlocks Midtown Harbour, an industrial zone on the Teardrop Island map. This area is controlled by Nuestros Diablos, a non-playable gang that actively defends its territory. Players can engage in combat with these NPCs to acquire a “hex,” a collectible item that can be exchanged for weapons, cybernetic upgrades, or cosmetic skins.
A new side mission, Combat DJ, has also been introduced. In this task, squads must secure and hold a DJ booth whilst preventing opponents from taking control. Successful teams will receive in-game rewards, including experience points and loot.
Additionally, a new cybernetic weapon, the MaxiGun cyberlimb, has also been added. This mini-gatling gun attaches to the player’s arm, providing a new combat option that may impact gameplay strategies. The update also introduces new cosmetic packs, including the Nuestros Diablos content pack and the Pacifist Character Set, available through the in-game battle pass.

What’s next for Off the Grid?
Gunzilla Games has indicated that future updates will focus on expanding blockchain integration within the game. Currently, Off the Grid operates on the GUNZ testnet—a blockchain network built on Avalanche. Whilst blockchain elements remain in the background, developers have plans to introduce a trading system that would allow players to exchange in-game assets such as weapons and skins.
The $GUN token—which is expected to launch in the future—will further integrate blockchain transactions into the game, potentially altering how in-game economies function. Gunzilla Games has stated that these changes aim to create a sustainable player-driven marketplace.
More expansions and gameplay refinements are expected as Off the Grid continues to evolve.
